Just under 2 weeks ago, I had an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I had the incredible honor of attending an event hosted by the amazing team at Goss.ie, The Women Of The Year 2024 and even now, I’m still trying to process the sheer magnitude of the day. It’s hard to put into words just how inspiring, empowering, and uplifting it was to be part of something so special, but I’ll do my best!
From the moment I walked into the venue, I could feel the energy—there was this incredible buzz in the air. The space itself was stunning, and everything was set up so beautifully, but what really made it unforgettable was the people in the room. I found myself surrounded by so many talented, successful, and inspiring women, each with their own unique stories of triumph, resilience, and success. It was truly humbling to be in their presence.
One of the most surreal moments for me was being nominated in the Local Business Woman of the Year category. I can’t even begin to describe how much that recognition meant to me. As someone who has poured their heart and soul into building my business, to be acknowledged alongside so many incredible women was both overwhelming and heartwarming. It’s a moment I will cherish forever, and it reminded me why I started this journey in the first place—to make a difference, to inspire others, and to keep growing.
At the same time, I couldn’t shake the feeling of imposter syndrome. It’s something I had heard about before, but at that event, I experienced it in a whole new way. Being in a room full of such accomplished women made me question whether I really belonged there. But as the day went on, I realized that this feeling is something many of us share, and that’s okay. It’s part of the journey, and that day reminded me that I have every right to be proud of what I’ve achieved. We all deserve to celebrate our successes, no matter how big or small they may seem in comparison to others.
The event wasn’t just about recognition, though—it was about community. The entire day was filled with love, support, and genuine admiration for everyone in the room. The team at Goss.ie did an incredible job creating an environment where women could come together, share their stories, and lift each other up. The sense of camaraderie was palpable, and it was so refreshing to be part of a space where everyone was rooting for each other’s success.
There were so many moments throughout the day that took my breath away, from the inspiring speeches to the heartfelt conversations. It reminded me of the importance of creating spaces where women can support and celebrate each other. Too often, we’re pitted against each other or made to feel like there’s only room for one of us at the table. But on that day, I saw firsthand what can happen when we all come together—when we choose to uplift rather than compete. The result was nothing short of magical.
I am beyond grateful to the entire team at Goss.ie for organizing such a beautiful event and for allowing me to be part of it. It was an honor to share the space with so many remarkable women, and I walked away feeling inspired, motivated, and more empowered than ever before. It’s experiences like this that remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do, and why it’s so important to keep going, even on the tough days.
One of the best parts of the day was having my mam there with me. She has always been one of my biggest supporters, and to share such a special moment with her by my side meant the world to me. Her unwavering belief in me and my journey has been a constant source of strength, and having her there to celebrate this milestone was truly unforgettable.
While I still have so much to learn and achieve, that day gave me a glimpse of what’s possible when we believe in ourselves and each other. I hope to be back at one of these events in the future, continuing to grow, learn, and support the incredible women around me. For now, I’m soaking in all the love, support, and inspiration I felt that day, and carrying it with me into the next chapter of my journey.
