Breast Milk Preservation FAQ

How to Send Your Breast Milk for Jewellery

Thank you for choosing me to create your precious keepsake. Every piece is crafted with love, care, and attention to detail, so I want to make sure your inclusions arrive safely and in perfect condition. Here’s everything you need to know before sending your breast milk or other materials.

How Do I Send My Breast Milk and Other Inclusions?

Please send 10 ml of breast milk—fresh or previously frozen. If your milk has been frozen, make sure it is fully thawed before packaging.

Here’s the safest way to prepare your milk:

  1. Pour your milk into a breast milk storage bag and gently press out any excess air before sealing.

  2. Triple-bag it for extra protection. Place the first bag inside a second, then a third.

  3. Label the outer bag clearly with your full name and order number (exactly as shown in my instructions).

What Is the Best Shipping Method?

I recommend using a trusted courier service for quick and secure delivery.
If you’re in Ireland, An Post is a reliable option.

Can I Send Frozen Breast Milk?

Yes, absolutely! Frozen milk works perfectly for jewellery—even if it’s been frozen for years.
Just make sure to:

  • Thaw the milk completely before shipping (to avoid condensation damage).

  • Only send 10 ml to minimise any risk during transit.

Will My Breast Milk Spoil in Transit?

Not to worry! Breast milk has natural antibacterial properties, and in my experience, it rarely spoils during shipping.
Once I receive your milk, it goes through several sterilisation steps to ensure it’s completely safe for jewellery making.

Will My Jewellery Look Like the Photos on Your Website?

I dedicate many hours to every single piece to make it as beautiful as possible and as close to my website examples as I can.
However, because each piece is handmade and unique, slight variations are completely natural—and in my opinion, that’s what makes your jewellery truly special.
Most of my customers tell me their finished piece is even more stunning than the photos!
